|   Reverse Engineering is the process of
digitising a physical object to obtain computed data for further development.
From a 3D scanning system (tactile probe or photogrammetry) digital data is
obtained. At this point in time issues, such as the maintaining of draft
angles, the fitment of assemblies, minor design changes, reconstruction of
damaged parts and other aspects that depend on the client’s specifications
are looked at. The CAD data can be exported in various formats (CopyCAD,
PowerSHAPE). Pro/Engineer is also used to create solid models.
